With these materials the student will be able to:
1. Recognize professional and everyday information contained in all types of oral discourses emitted through any means of communication in the standard language, interpreting the message content accurately.
- Identify the main idea of the message in standard language related to social, professional, or academic life.
- Recognize the purpose of direct messages or messages delivered through any medium in standard language.
- Extract specific information contained in different oral discourses in standard language, related to social, professional, or academic life.
- Identify the speaker’s point of view and attitude.
- Identify the main ideas of statements and messages in oral messages and determines the roles that appear in these messages.
- Fully understand messages in standard language in environments with background noise.
- Extract the main ideas from conferences, talks, reports, and other forms of academic and professional presentations.
- Become aware of the importance of understanding a message globally, without necessarily understanding every single element.
2. Interpret professional information contained in complex written texts, comprehensively analyzing their contents.
- Identify the main idea of texts specific to the social, professional, or academic field.
- Recognize the purpose of different written texts in any format, in standard language and related to professional activity.
- Extract specific information from texts of different types related to the profession and presented in different formats.
- Become aware of the importance of understanding a text globally without needing to understand every single element.
- Read and understands, autonomously, texts related to the sector, with reading speed and style appropriate to their competence level.
- Interpret correspondence related to the specialty, easily grasping the essential meaning.

3. Deliver clear and well-structured oral messages, analyzing the content of the situation, and adapting to the linguistic register of the interlocutor.
- Produce general messages related to the sector and everyday life, using connectors and interaction strategies.
- Exchange specific and detailed information fluently, using structures of a complexity appropriate to the competence level.
- Select and apply the appropriate registers for delivering the message, as well as the protocols and social norms of the country.

- Complete specific documentation from the professional field, using specialised vocabulary as well as the protocols and social conventions of the country.
- Organize information with correctness, precision, coherence, and cohesion, requesting and/or providing general or detailed information.
- Complete texts using visual aids and linguistic cues.
- Write reports related to the professional field, highlighting significant aspects and providing relevant details to support them.
- Write formal and informal letters, using established courtesy conventions and the appropriate specialised vocabulary.

5. Apply professional attitudes and behaviours in communication situations, following international conventions.
